Tantalus Range

Rising up from the head of Howe Sound is a collection of inspiring peaks clustered together on the western side of the Squamish River. The jagged summits of the Tantalus Range (2603m) offer excellent technical alpine climbing and mountaineering on granite rock and steep snow. Helicopter access from Squamish (half-way between Whistler and Vancouver) negates a two-day approach and maximizes your climbing time in the mountains.
